About GMC, Siddipet
Government Medical College, Siddipet is located in Siddipet, Telangana. It received permission from then Medical Council of India (MCI) to start admission for MBBS course from year 2018. Permission was given for 150 seats from the academic year in 2018-19. From the year 2019, 25 extra seats were permitted under EWS Quota. This college is affiliated to Kaloji Narayan Rao University of Health Sciences
GMC Siddipet was the second Government Medical College established after the formation of Telangana.
Government Medical College Siddipet presently has 850 students (5 batches of 175 each) and 150 Interns
NMC has also permitted to start Postgraduate courses in 13 broad specialities with 61 seats
Other courses like B.Sc (Allied Sciences) and paramedical Courses are also run in this institute.
The college is well equipped with all the infrastructure including lecture theaters, library, laboratories and museums.

T Diagnostic Hub including radiology hub was established in 2021
T HUB Increased test menu from 57 to 134 tests ( Biochemistry :58, Patholog:y 36, Microbiology: 40);
The number of spokes from where the samplesincreased to 54 from 43;
Round the clock laboratory services with maximal utilization of modern instrumentation and technology in TD hub.
We are also running the GGH biochemistry lab round the clock and since 2018 we have done 35.5 lakhs of tests.
Deaddiction ward started at GGH Siddipet
NCD programme started in GGH in the month of September 2021 catering Hypertensive and diabetes registered cases of 1445
TELEMEDICINE which started on 14th October 2021 catered 7124 consultations for rural& remote helping MO’s in PHCs
Recently a Multi disciplinary Research Unit (MRU) was sanctioned to GMC Siddipet by Government of India under the Department of Health Research and ICMR. Nearly 5 crores for infrastructure and equipment for research will be provided .
Also a National Emergency Life Skills (NELS) center is sanctioned, where doctors, nurses and paramedical staff will be trained in providing emergency life saving skills.
Presently a 900 bedded hospital isbeing constructed besides the present medical college with all the best facilities like Oncology block, cath lab, level 1 trauma care apart from all the other services.
Accreditation and certification
- The SNCU (Special new born care) Unit of GGH Siddipet has been accredited by National Neonatology Forum as Level II A Special care Neonatal Unit
- The MCH unit of GGH Siddipet has received Laqshya Certification for this year.
